5 TIPS OF HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CLOTHES

1. New or old

You should always turn your clothes inside out before placing them in the washing machine. This helps minimize the abrasion that causes fading.

2. Wash less frequently:

Try to wash your clothes as less frequently as possible, not that you should wear dirty clothes but this will help your pieces last longer.

3. Avoid the dryer:

Researchers found that repeatedly drying garments led to cracks in the clothing, which reduced fabric strength by 25 percent or more so let everything air out. In general, no matter what you do, elastic has a shelf life, but the better you take care of them the longer they will last.

4. Keep it Cool:

Start by selecting a gentle or delicate cycle on your washing machine and filling it with cold water. Washing them in hot water increases the chance of the dye seeping out of the fabric and the life of the elastic fibers.

5. Separate light and dark :

Clothes (especially new ones) lose some of the dye coloring during the wash cycle, and light-colored fabric will pick up that dye. Before you load up the washing machine, you have to do some prep work such as separating items by color to prevent stains on your clothes.
